Chauburji

Gateway of a 17th century Mughal garden, with four minarets and tile work. Where: Multan Road. Timings and entry: Free to view from outside.

Data Darbar

The Mall (colonial Lahore)

Lahore Museum, Tollinton Market, the GPO, Lahore High Court, Government College and Bagh-e-Jinnah sit along or near the Mall. Anarkali Bazaar is opposite the museum for lunch.

Shahdara (across the Ravi)

Jahangir’s Tomb, Asif Khan’s Tomb, Akbari Sarai and Nur Jahan’s Tomb make a half day. Shahdara also had a licensed kite market during Basant 2026.

Planning around Basant 2027

• Museums are best on weekday mornings, before the afternoon kite flying.
• Fridays: the Lahore Museum is closed. Use Friday for the Walled City or Shalimar Gardens instead.
• The first Monday of February 2027 is 1 February: the Lahore Museum will be closed that day.
• 5 February 2027 (Kashmir Day) is a Friday, a public holiday and a no-flying day: the Lahore Museum is closed, so use it for the Walled City, Shahdara or Shalimar Gardens.
