Basant 2027 Hotel and Rooftop Price Watch: What 2026 Tells Us
Lahore, 13 October 2026. With Basant 2027 set for 29 January to 7 February, demand for Lahore hotels and rooftops is expected to be high. In 2026, Walled City rooftops near Delhi, Bhati and Mochi Gates and Rang Mahal were reported to rent for about Rs 500,000 to Rs 3 million for the three-day festival, with prime roofs reported up to Rs 4.5 to 5.5 million. Some five-star hotels also rented Walled City rooftops for private events.

Why 2027 could be different
- The festival runs ten days instead of three, which may spread demand and change rooftop pricing.
- Two weekends (30 to 31 January, 6 to 7 February 2027) will see the highest hotel demand.
- Hotels usually announce Basant packages in December or January.
How to book well
- Book hotels early and get the rate in writing.
- For rooftops, see the roof, meet the owner and sign a written agreement before paying.
- Ask hotels whether roof access is included, ticketed or not allowed.
- Compare a guest house with a private roof against a rented Walled City roof.
